ANALYSIS Alcohol 14.5%

AROMA This Shiraz has aromas of blue fruits and blackcurrant, with hints of floral
mint, lavender and background chocolate notes.

PALATE Concentrated blue and dark berry fruits, along with background oak spice.
The palate is round with good richness and concentration, but also shows vibrancy and depth with fine long tannins and persistence of flavour. The palate is full flavoured and fruit forward, showing mixed berries and toasted spice characters. With hints of anise and has soft velvety tannins and a lingering finish.

VINEYARD Sourced mainly from vineyards on red loamy clay with a limestone base, which provided the fruit richness and intensity, with a small proportion from the sandier sites on the hillside, to give some freshness and elegance.

SEASON The 2022 season started with cooler than average conditions, but fortunately these cooler temperatures didn’t bring any spring frost. Mild & dry conditions continued
through out summer with low disease pressure. A burst of warm weather in late January helped push fruit ripening along. Harvest was generally later than average, but ripening was even & quality is very good across all varieties.

WINEMAKERS NOTES Fermented on skins for 5 days. Matured for around 12 months and a
proportion was matured with French oak, but the majority was un-oaked to allow the fruit to shine.
