Several rows of premium fruit from our “Karridale” vineyard are identified as being exceptional and hand harvested in the early hours of the morning. The fruit was then whole bunch pressed into French oak barriques, allowed to wild fermented and mature on lees. This is yet again an outstanding Chardonnay and shows certain characters reflecting the 2022 vintage.
Malolactic fermentation has softened and rounded the mouthfeel allowing this “Burgundy” like Chardonnay to be enjoyed today or be put away for post pandemic celebrations. We expect great things from this quality piece of art.
Brilliant pale gold with bright green tints. Aromas of pear, grapefruit and citrus blossom are followed with crunchy granny smith apples, freshly squeezed citrus, stone fruit, cashew nut and oak complexity on the palate.
